ArXiv (pronounced "archive"), is an open-access repository of electronic articles, called e-prints. Many of the articles archived here are added before publication in a peer-reviewed journal, while many others are added after publication with permission from the publisher. While many of the articles added to arXiv before publication are approved for posting after a moderation process, they may not be rigorously peer reviewed by experts in the field.
