COMP 111: The Nature of Narrative: Library Catalog

Run Time: 2:06

Run Time: 2:15

Use the library catalog to search for  the following in the Williams libraries.

  • books and videos
  • full-text articles from selected library databases
  • citations to articles in the library databases or beyond (to request through interlibrary loan)

Search Tips:

  • Searches limited to Books, Articles and More will include articles
  • Searches limited to All Items at Williams will exclude articles
  • Use the Advanced Search mode to create more effective searches
  • To limit search results to scholarly articles: Select Peer-Reviewed Journals (under Availability)
  • There is no way to limit results to scholarly books. You need to review each book and look at the type of publisher (academic or trade) and the credentials of the author

In the process of doing research you will come across resources that are not available in the library at Williams. You can still get access to these resources by using the library's interlibrary loan (ILL) service.  Through ILL the library will obtain the materials from other libraries for you free of charge. Books will be send through the mail. Articles, essays and book chapters will be sent as PDFs.
