Professor Olga Shevchenko
Culture, Consumption and Modernity
Fall 2017

Purpose of this guide

This guide was created specifically for SOC 315, to introduce specialized library databases where you can search for:

  • scholarly articles to frame the context of your inquiry
  • company reports and industry profiles
  • trade and industry news
  • data and statistics
  • primary sources: images, films, social media posts

If you need assistance beyond this guide, schedule an appointment with the library for this course.

Getting Started

  • A good place to start a research project is the library catalog. You can search through the book collection and also through many of the article databases the library subscribes to.
