In our library instruction session, we will be focusing on using CAS SciFinder, a powerful database compiling chemistry references, including articles, reaction schemes, experimental procedures, substance properties, characterizations, spectra, and more. If is your first time using SciFinder, take a moment to set up an account using the link in the box below.
You may not want to continually refer back to this libguide in order to access SciFinder. Other options are to bookmark the login screen on your computer, or navigate to the database from our A-Z Database list, filtered by chemistry. SciFinder will be located in the gray "Best Bets" box at the top of the screen.
LibKey Nomad automatically provides instant links to articles from journals subscribed to by Williams – and Open Access sources – connecting you to literature discovered on the web. LibKey Nomad works with Williams to determines the fastest path to content across thousands of publishers and millions of articles, and also adds support to PubMed, Wikipedia and hundreds of other scholarly publisher websites and research databases.
After installation, LibKey Nomad prompts you to select your institution. Simply select Williams and close the installation window.
LibKey Nomad will then notify you of available articles wherever you may roam.
