Find Bibles in Special Collections

  1. Click on the “Browse Search” button under the search bar on the main library website
  2. Choose “local number” from the drop-down menu
  3. Enter “Bible” into the search bar
    • (Or just click this link to skip these steps!)
  4. The resulting list organizes Bibles by size (1 = small : 5 = huge)
    • If you know you want to look for a specific size, you can enter "Bible 3" or whatever number you want
  5. Take the catalog information Special Collections (4th floor of Sawyer), and the librarian will get the requested book for you!

Browse the Stacks Yourself

On the 4th Floor of Sawyer

  • New Testaments: BS1965 - BS2213
  • Bibles: BS140 - BS391

The assignments will require you to compare multiple New Testaments. I've made the decision against putting all or most of the library's New Testaments on reserve, because I want you to be able to peruse the stacks of New Testaments themselves. This means, however, that I need for the students in the class to promise not to check Sawyer Library New Testaments out for themselves.
