Welcome to the Research Guide for Introduction to Scenic Design: The World of a Fairy Tale (THEA 289, Fall 2025)

On the following pages you will find information to help you:

- Generate keywords for searching

- Navigate the physical and digital library spaces

- Locate a variety of resources relevant to your course work

Beginning a research project often leads to more questions. Don't hesitate to bring any questions that may come up to the attention of a librarian: stop by the library and inquire at the Research Help Desk, schedule an appointment with a Sawyer librarian, or contact us online. We're here to help!

Pre-work: Browsing Map

A designer who knows where to go within a physical and/or digital library environment to find the images and information they need to complete their work is ahead of the game - so we're going to practice the skills you'll need to become expert browsers. Before our session, please take a moment to use the Researching Spaces: Browsing for Information & Communication questionnaire to begin collecting your thoughts.
