LATS 470: Latinx Migrations: Stories and Histories

Oral histories and artifacts pertaining to the Bracero program, a guest worker initiative that spanned the years 1942-1964. Millions of Mexican agricultural workers crossed the border under the program to work in more than half of the states in America.

Centro is a research institute that collects, preserves, and provides access to library resources documenting Puerto Rican history and culture.

Chicana por mi Raza Digital Memory Collective is a group of researchers, educators, students, archivists and technologists dedicated to preserving imperiled Chicanx and Latinx histories of the long Civil Rights Era. They've collected and processed approximately 10,000 archival items, with 3000 or so awaiting digitizing, description and uploading. The online digital repository currently contains approximately 7,000 available digital records and over 500 interview clips.

For many years CLR has conducted oral histories in the Chicago urban community. Completed projects include the voices of activists of the Young Lords Organization, and interviews conducted by Mirta Ramirez.

dLOC is a cooperative of Partners within the Caribbean and circum-Caribbean that provides users with access to Caribbean cultural, historical and research materials held in archives, libraries, and private collections. dLOC comprises collections that speak to the similarities and differences in histories, cultures, languages and governmental systems.
