Pew Research Center is a nonpartisan fact tank that informs the public about the issues, attitudes and trends shaping America and the world.

The U.S. Policy Agendas Project collects and organizes data from various archived sources to trace changes in the national policy agenda and public policy outcomes of the United States since the Second World War.

The Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) collects the dates, actors, types of violence, locations, and fatalities of all reported political violence and protest events across Africa, South Asia, South East Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America. The ACLED team conducts analysis to describe, explore and test conflict scenarios, and makes both data and analysis open to freely use by the public.

An open platform for international and inter-organizational data sharing run by the UN's Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

PRIO conducts research on the conditions for peaceful relations between states, groups, and people. Resources include research reports, publications, and datasets from across the globe.

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people. Their Refugee Data Finder collates population data relating to persons who are forcibly displaced or stateless, and provides analyses. The data is sourced primarily from governments and also from UNHCR operations.

The nonpartisan Migration Policy Institute seeks to improve immigration and integration policies through authoritative research and analysis, opportunities for learning and dialogue, and the development of new ideas to address complex policy questions. The research offered here relates to the law and practice of protecting refugees and IDPs in areas of conflict as well as in industrialized nations, with a focus on secure solutions and effective institutional arrangements for comprehensive protection.

UNICEF's data team collects a robust and internationally comparable data on the situation of women and children globally. This data is organized topically, by country, and in a query-able warehouse.
